Whippet
Why Innova chose to name this brute of a disc after the slight and nimble Whippet dog is beyond us. However, once you get past the name and grasp what it was made for: namely headwind drives, big hooking shots, and skip shots, you won’t care what it was named after. *Modern-day Whippets utilized X mold. Left the Innova stock lineup by 2016. But lasted for more than 20 years as such. That’s a Whippet done good!

Looking for something that compares to the Whippet? Consider these alternatives that are still in production:
Gator: While a bit slower than a Whippet, this midrange has the overstability akin to the Whippet.
Firebird: This is a faster disc, but has a rim that is closer to the whippet, along with reliable overstability the whippet is known for.
