Innova Phenix
Breaking the world distance record was the goal when creating the Phenix and the overstable disc delivered. In 1988, disc golf great Sam Ferrans broke the record at the time with a 623.5-foot throw from the Phenix. He said Dave Dunipace designed the disc to fly like a sail when it was thrown correctly. “The optimal flight path was to get the Phenix as high as possible with the nose turned over and pointed down. Not easy, but when thrown right, it did sail. Dave and I practiced for 6 months until we had the technique down,” said Ferrans.

Innova TeeBird
Looking for something that compares to the Phenix? Consider the Innova TeeBird, which is still in production. The TeeBird is perhaps the most reliable fairway driver for open to moderately wooded courses on the market. It has the perfect amount of stability to hold your line, even in mild winds.
Innova Eagle
Or try the Eagle. It’s an overstable fairway driver, that’s a notch less overstable than the Firebird. It can handle power and still remain true to the line it was thrown upon.
