Innova Scorpion

Innova Scorpion Mid Range Disc

The Scorpion was designed to be a more stable Stingray and that was certainly accomplished because when you threw this double wide-sized disc with big glide, its punchy fade could not be ignored. Medium length force flex shots were its specialty. Originally released in stiffer DX plastic decades ago, a special Halo Star version was used as a fundraiser for the 2023 Japan Open. Innova Flyer from 1990’s: “Lots of loft and carry.”

Fun Fact: Jay “Yeti” Reading is familiar with the disc. “My first disc was the OOP Scorpion, but kinda glad to have moved on from throwing a 200-gram beveled dinner plate.”

Innova Lion Mid Range Disc

Innova Lion

Looking for something that compares to the Scorpion? Consider the Innova Lion, which is still in production: The convex rim, small bead and flat flight plate give the Lion a comfortable grip and neutral flight. Thrown hard and flat, it’ll finish with a touch more glide than a Roc3 and enough fade to keep it in the fairway.
