You know when you mix some of your favorite foods into one mound and it tastes delicious … The Avatar was kind of like that. The Avatar was designed as an amalgam of several different midranges of that era including the Atlas, Lion, and Roc3. Similar in look and feel to the overmold Atlas, it was, however, a tad more overstable. Though it made a splash when it was released don’t expect any blockbuster sequels.

Consider the Innova Lion, which is still in production: The convex rim, small bead and flat flight plate give the Lion a comfortable grip and neutral flight. Thrown hard and flat, it’ll finish with a touch more glide than a Roc3 and enough fade to keep it in the fairway.
